Zar Electrik

Zar Electrik is a trio from Marseille - activists of the Mediterranean scene. Anass Zine’s captivating voice, with its Maghrebian influences, is enhanced by traditional instruments such as the oud and gumbri, then beautifully fused with Arthur Péneau’s deep, sultry voice. The latter introduces his hybrid African influences through hiskora, mystifying the audience with ethereal electric effects. The composer and producer, Did Miosine unifies everything, bringing his knowledge and mastery of machines, synths and codes of electronic music. The culmination is explosive, creating a rich and generous sound - a unique fusion of Maghreb, Sub-Saharan Africa and the West.
