THE BONGO HOP (France/Colombia) Established by French trumpeter, Etienne Sevet, The Bongo Hop is a highly danceable blend of many different sounds and various influences with its foundation in Afrobeat, which Etienne introduced to the Colombian dance floors years ago as a Cali resident and DJ. It also includes to Colombian Costa music, West Indies, West African, and Jazz. Their music has a clear intention to build bridges, shake booties and create a space to free emotions. On stage, The Bongo Hop is like a tropical sound storm served with hot brass, infectious afro grooves, electric sounds and heavenly vocals.
