YOUTH EMERGING into the ARTS

Happening throughout February, YEA is a program geared toward immigrant youths from ages 18 – 27. The program introduces theatre techniques to the youths, while introducing these youths to the artistic community. Our goal is to help jump start their careers in the arts.

Neruda Arts is partnering with Flush Ink Productions and MT Space, utilizing the experience of these three organizations to present three, 3-day workshops for up to 12 youths. The project consists of three parts with each of the three organizations is providing a workshop:

1. Writing your story into a monologue: Flush Ink Products will work with the youths to create a story in the form of a monologue.
2. Tips and techniques on performance: MT Space will teach techniques for presenting and performing their pieces.
3. Filming the pieces, and sharing them to social media: Neruda Arts will video tape their performance, highlighting their work and talent.
