Message from the Artistic Director

Kultrún World Music Festival is a free, international festival with roots deeply embedded in the Waterloo Region. Kultrún is founded on the idea that it is through the arts that we can build bridges in our community.

It was in Kitchener, 2012, that Neruda Arts presented Kultrún World Music Festival for the first time realizing our vision to create an event that offered space for excellent music, meaningful interactions and consequential dialogue. Kultrún celebrates diverse artistic expressions and cultural traditions, not only from around the world, but also from the Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island.    
   
Due to its growth, we've made the decision to move the festival from St. Jacobs to Waterloo Park. It is our profound hope that you will appreciate our renewed sense of commitment to the communities we serve. We believe our audience is ready to experience the wonderful diversity of artistic expressions in music, dance, interactive activities, food and amazing people - things that enrich us all.
